A New Generation of Family History Data Acquisition on the Web

I’ve just been reminded that I am giving the following talk at the Society of Genealogists next month.

Saturday 10th September
10.30am
Price £17.50/£14.00 (SoG Members)

The speakers explain the creation and advantages, for family history societies, of blog-based central hubs, linking wikis, searchable databases, on-line libraries, audio-visual podcasts and social networking sites to provide an integrated service for the compilation of ancestors’ biographies and dynastic sagas.

About the tutors:

Peter Bailey is the chairman of the family history society, Families in British India (FIBIS) and is a former trustee of the Society of Genealogists. Valmay Young is the webmaster of the award winning FIBIS website.
